Justin Nozuka
Hey everyone, Just thought I’d let you know about an artist that I’ve recently discovered, Justin Nozuka. To me, he gets it. His lyrics are beautiful and not what you’d expect, which I love, and his voice is incredible. I saw him live at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA a little while ago and he nailed every song, both in performance and communication. That, to me, is the most important thing, to really feel what the artist is saying like they truly care about it. His band is superb and every detail was in place. He blends acoustic with …
Tonight, Tonight…
Tonight’s acoustic show was so much fun! We did two sets for different groups of people and it was really cool to be able to feel out the songs differently, twice in the same night. It was a very intimate setting at Pangea Cafe in downtown Clearwater (thanks for having us) and the whole experience was wonderful. I love the staff there and everyone who came out was great and really participated in the show! Thanks guys! Now I’m watching some “Lost” (mid season 6 so don’t tell me what happens!) and then off to sleep to prepare for tomorrow. …

FREE Acoustic Show!!!!
Hey there! So I’ve been quite busy with a zillion good things! First I went to NY for my grandma’s 100th birthday! We threw her a swing dance party where she danced all night, she’s amazing! Then we drove up to NH for some time in the gorgeous woods and organic food straight from the farm. Next it was back to NY to drop off the car and out to San Diego for a few meetings. Away to LA to see friends and back to San Diego to catch a flight home. PHEW! Once I was home, it was straight …
Video Killed the Radio Star?
Video killed the radio star? I don’t think so. Music is more relevant and important now than it’s ever been. Throughout histories, down through the ages and eons, in times of political, economical and personal, emotional stress, music has been turned to as a point of relief and release. When you’re in a bad mood, what do you do? Turn on the radio and probably turn it up. When lost in sadness, one puts on soft and soothing tunes to ease the pain or simply to have a voice to cry to. When we’ve won a victory we sing a …
The Art of Singing
Tonight what’s on my mind? Singing. Ever since I was a little girl this art has captivated me in its uniqueness. There’s nothing else in the world quite like it. The way it feels to have notes slip up through your throat and out your lips, turning from nothing, non-existent, into sound, music. It’s magical. It’s global, cutting across all races, religions, ages, every barrier that we, man, have put up between ourselves comes crashing down in the presence of music and in particular, singing. What is singing, and I mean really singing? I don’t think it really has much …
