To kick things off check out my brand new song “White Dove” with its official music video shot by Federico Lorente. I have 11 new songs in the …

NY Summer

Hi my lovelies! I’m sitting here at one of the many NY Starbucks escaping the humidity and lack of wi-fi at my grandma’s. There’s some nice, chill music playing and the ever present aroma of coffee (which always smells better than it tastes). I’m catching up on all things Facebook, YouTube and social networks in general. I’ve also recently discovered music blogs as a fun way to spend time learning, finding new music, etc. Tomorrow I’m heading out to Watermill to visit some family and then back to the city for more meetings, songwriting sessions, etc. I can’t wait for …

Hey everybody! I’m super excited to share my brand new music video for my latest single with you! It’s a a capella cover of “Undisclosed Desires” by Muse. There is only beat boxing for drums and the occasional bass (courtesy of Forrest Conner) and the rest of the instruments (strings, synths, etc.) are sung by me! This project was a lot of fun and a lot of late nights! There is no Auto Tune or Melodyne on any part of this song. Please enjoy and spread the word by sharing the link with your friends! You can also buy the …

Blue Sky & Zevia

Hi guys! Tonight I want to share my love of two amazing drinks: Blue Sky Free and Zevia. These are all natural sodas that have zero calories and are sweetened with stevia instead of Aspartame! I can’t tell you what a difference they’ve made in my life. Before these came out I hadn’t had a soda in about 6 years because I don’t like that much sugar and Aspartame has some of the scariest side-effects I’ve ever experienced (blurred vision, heart palpitations, nausea, etc.). Once I found out about the beauty of stevia and then heard about these sodas I …

Knowledge is Power

Today I’m diving in a little deeper. I think it’s important to know the power of knowledge. When you KNOW something, you’re unshakable in it. You can stand up to any “authority” when you know that what you’re standing for is true, right, etc. And I feel that the strongest weapon that has been used against us time and again is ignorance; ignorance in regards to education, government, medicine, spirituality, the mind and so much more. I want to convey my passion that everyone should take advantage of the internet, library, documentaries and more to get educated in as many fields …

Caribbean Blue

I’m here in the Caribbean singing on a gorgeous cruise ship and I must say, I’m quite enjoying it! The blue of the water is absolutely stunning! You forget when you leave just how amazing it is but coming back, it hits you all over again making you almost glad that you forgot. Humidity here is different, not oppressive but soothing. It spreads a calm over everything making even a busy day seem relaxed and lovely. The green in the plants is vibrant and energizing. The fruit makes you feel healthy just by looking at it. As I’m typing this, the …

Late Night Creativity

I’ve noticed that creativity tends to be strongest in the artists I know in the late hours of the night. Why is that? Maybe it has to do with the solitude and quiet. Maybe it’s that you’ve had the day of inspiration. Maybe it’s that you’re in the dark and feel like you’re suspended in space and have the universe at your fingertips. Whatever it is, it’s real, I feel it, they feel it and for some reason I love it this way. Thoughts for the night. By the way, it’s currently 2:43 am… Thanks for reading. Hana-li

Optimism

I like to look at the glass as half full. Why? Why not?! If you live your life looking at all the possibilities, you leave yourself open for adventure and solutions rather than depression and problems. And that simply sounds better to me! Life is filled with hardships but it’s also filled with love, beauty, friendship, color, music, laughter, good movies, road trips, snow, sunshine, orange juice and puppies! I mean really, is that so bad? Whenever something hard comes your way, give it good cry and then pull yourself up, look to the future and do something about it. …

Justin Nozuka

Hey everyone, Just thought I’d let you know about an artist that I’ve recently discovered, Justin Nozuka. To me, he gets it. His lyrics are beautiful and not what you’d expect, which I love, and his voice is incredible. I saw him live at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA a little while ago and he nailed every song, both in performance and communication. That, to me, is the most important thing, to really feel what the artist is saying like they truly care about it. His band is superb and every detail was in place. He blends acoustic with …
