It’s been a crazy December! LA, Toronto, LA, FL back to LA and now home with a total of 6 performances! I got to work with some incredible people and had a blast. I hope you all had a great holiday season too.

Now that it’s 2012 it’s time to look ahead at what this year will bring and I can tell ya it involves a lot of new music! To kick things off check out my brand new song “White Dove” with its official music video shot by Federico Lorente.

I’m in LA and it’s sunny with a cool breeze and I’m eating lunch at my friend’s apartment and writing to you…totally perfect day!

I’m here to write some new songs, do a bunch of meetings and catch up with friends that I haven’t seen in a while.

I’m sitting here at one of the many NY Starbucks escaping the humidity and lack of wi-fi at my grandma’s. There’s some nice, chill music playing and the ever present aroma of coffee (which always smells better than it tastes).

I’m catching up on all things Facebook, YouTube and social networks in general. I’ve also recently discovered music blogs as a fun way to spend time learning, finding new music, etc.

Tomorrow I’m heading out to Watermill to visit some family and then back to the city for more meetings, songwriting sessions, etc. I can’t wait for you to hear these new creations! I’m really proud of them! I’ve met some incredibly talented songwriters and artists on this trip and am having the pleasure of working with them. I love my job!

I’ve seen some amazing apartments since arriving in the city a week ago. I was invited to two get-togethers at the most spacious and luxurious places you can imagine. True movie-style living!

Pinkberry is always on my mind here and I’ve fallen head-over-heels in love with their new flavor, salted caramel! If you get the chance to try it, I highly recommend it.

Until next time, wear shorts, sandals and all the other summery things and don’t forget to eat lots of watermelon! It’s good for you and has kind of captured my soul!

I’m super excited to share my brand new music video for my latest single with you!

It’s a a capella cover of “Undisclosed Desires” by Muse. There is only beat boxing for drums and the occasional bass (courtesy of Forrest Conner) and the rest of the instruments (strings, synths, etc.) are sung by me! This project was a lot of fun and a lot of late nights! There is no Auto Tune or Melodyne on any part of this song.

Tonight I want to share my love of two amazing drinks: Blue Sky Free and Zevia. These are all natural sodas that have zero calories and are sweetened with stevia instead of Aspartame! I can’t tell you what a difference they’ve made in my life.

Before these came out I hadn’t had a soda in about 6 years because I don’t like that much sugar and Aspartame has some of the scariest side-effects I’ve ever experienced (blurred vision, heart palpitations, nausea, etc.). Once I found out about the beauty of stevia and then heard about these sodas I had to try them. And guess what?…They’re delicious! Just thought you guys might like to share in the glory!
